Flash-Fire

A dark maze with nothing but a gun to light your way. Limited ammo, and a ghost chasing you... can you escape?

A "boomer-shooter" styled  game made in Gamemaker for the GMTK Game Jam 2026: "Count Down".
In this game, you have to escape a maze while a ghost chases you, with the only light being your gun. however, the bullets that you have are counting down; your ammo, and hence your light, is limited.

Each gunshot will stun the ghost for a few seconds. But this takes away from the amount of light you'll get, too, so if you aren't backed into a corner it's better to back away from the ghost...

Controls;

The up and down arrow keys move you forwards and backwards.
The left & right arrow keys rotate the camera.
A and D on the keyboard strafe side to side.
Spacebar shoots the gun.

This game has not been tested on anything weaker than a Pentium GOLD 6500Y. Please do not be disappointed if it doesn't run well on anything weaker...

No "AI" (LLMs, image generators or sound generators) was used in the making of this.
All the assets, code and sounds are made by me. I do not like those "tools" at all and refuse to use them for anything I make.
